Mary Mattei - My interest in art traces back to second grade. I made up my mind I wanted to pursue art and have since. I was formerly educated in a highschool with a fabulous art dept. (lucky me!) and went on to study at Baltimore College of Art and a degree from CUNY studying at Hunter College. Since than there has been many workshops and classes taken.
Art is the language that I prefer to communicate in. I use many layers in my art work to portray the history of the mark making as well as create depth.
