With B.F.A. From Virginia Commonwealth University And M.F.A. From Cornell University I Mainly Produce Color Field And Abstract Expressionist Works. I Feel That Paintings Are Meant To Be Color, Line , Form, Shape And Texture. A Life Time Ago, A Few Galleries Showed My Abstract Paintings Along With A Few Museums Around The Country.
When My Son Left For College And The House Became A Little Too Quite, A Friend Asked Me To Try Watercolors With Her. I Was Surprised To Find That I Absolutely Loved It. Watercolors Have Been A Complete 180 Turn For Me. I Have Never Painted Anything Close To Realism Before. I Never Pictured Myself Painting Watercolors Or Realist Painting. We All Are A Work In Progress And I'm Enjoying This New Dimension.
We Live In Massachusetts A Short Drive To Lake Winnipesaukee The White Mountains The Cape Or Maine. But By Far My Favorite Places To Paint In Watercolor Are The Places We Visit In The West. I Love Painting From The Photos I Have Taken From The National Parks We Have Visited. My Favorite Thing About Showing My Watercolor Painting Is Watching People Faces Light Up When They Remember The Spot I Painted From, And They Recall Their Favorite Spots And National Parks And Tell Me Where I Absolutely Must Go, To See....
