I've been interested in art as far back as grade school in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Art was my favorite class, the last period of the day on Fridays. I seriously began my art career almost 40 years ago studying, oil, watercolor and drawing but eventually switching to printmaking. I have studied with several known printmakers including Dan Weldon and Lisa Mackey as well as watercolorists and painters from Omaha, Nebraska, to Washington D.C. and Rockport, Massachusetts. I love everything about the printmaking process including drawing before making my zinc or solar plates, the smell of inks while wiping my plates, and the excitement of pulling that first print, never knowing for sure the final outcome which is always in reverse. I am a member of the Boston Printmakers, Copley Society, National Association of Women Artists, the Catherine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club, and the Monotype Guild of New England and others. Of the numerous awards I've won the most important was being awarded a one person show at the Newport Art Museum at their Annual Members Show in 2011. Also, I have won the Bronze Medal of Honor in Printmaking twice in the Catherine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club, NYC, most recently in 2013.
