Artist Bio

I began my painting journey focusing on watercolor, earning recognitions through local and national awards. I love watercolor for the luminous quality and the way they capture light. Over the past decade, I’ve added acrylics to my repertoire, attracted by their capacity to vividly capture the vibrancy and dynamism of local scenes. I enjoy both mediums and strive to grow as an artist everyday. Not every painting is a success – yet I truly believe “If you don’t make mistakes, you are not working on hard enough problems”.

Materials and Techniques: In all my paintings, design takes precedence. I begin with a value sketch, which enables me to paint colors more freely. While my subjects are drawn from life, I approach them with an impressionistic style rather than strict realism.
For my watercolors, I use a traditional light-to-dark technique on cold-pressed watercolor paper. My acrylics are created on gesso boards and come in various sizes. I particularly enjoy creating mini paintings for their freshness and appeal to collectors.
