Artist Bio
I am continually inspired by the New England landscape. This is where my family settled many generations ago, where I was raised, and where I live. Having spent most of my youth outdoors by the water, the theme of water is a through-line in my life and artwork. With a passion for color, movement, and brushwork, I strive to bring about a resonant connection between my viewers and the landscapes I portray. I explore the relationship between sky, water, and land in my ongoing series of paintings. I work from my two studios in Cambridge and Charlestown.
Materials and Techniques: Every painting starts with time spent in nature. Starting from my sketches and photos from beautiful locations in nature, I create larger-scale finished paintings in my studio. I work in acrylics on canvas.
