Artist Bio
Based out of Groton, MA, Dana has been creating art for over 30 years. Although a fan of many mediums, including watercolors and monotype printing, she found her true obsession in the vibrant colors of alcohol inks. Achieving control over this fluid and fickle medium has been a delightful challenge. Dana is inspired by the diversity of nature, both flora and fauna, with flowers and sea creatures being particularly enjoyed subjects. Dana‘s work has been featured in a number of regional galleries and in private collections across the country.
Materials and Techniques: My main medium of choice is alcohol ink. I paint on nonporous surfaces to take full advantage of the fluid nature of the inks and the textures achieved through the highly evaporative properties of alcohol.
